At the age of 16, Aerith met Zack, for whom she developed feelings during his stay in Midgar. For the next five years, Aerith helped her adopted mother with their livelihood by growing and selling flowers, a job that results in her meeting Cloud in the beginning of Final Fantasy VII.
Zack was born in the town of Gongaga, where he spent his early years until he joined Shinra's militant forces at the possible age of 14, and placed under the wing of Angeal Hewley for the next four years to become a member of SOLDIER. his known for being laid back, and a bit of a flirt, extremely kind, loyal, and having superior skills in combat.
A senior member of SOLDIER, Angeal could be the original owner of the Cloud's trademark Buster Sword. It is likely that most of the training that Zack receives as well as the techniques he learns are passed down from him.
A former 1st class soildier who went MIA during the Wutai war. He's almost like Sephiroth but wasn't injected with Jenova Cells but G cells. Dr. Hollander injected Genesis with G cells (at birth or as a child for an unknown reason). He is best friends with Angeal when he was young and still is when both of them went to Shinra as 1st class SOLDIERS.
Genesis personal hobby is reading Loveless.
Genesis is seen again in Dirge of Cerberus 8-9 years later in a secret ending. It is unknown what his new goals are but his only quote "It is not yet time to slumber, we have much work to do, Brother"
Sephiroth is ShinRa's Ultimate SOLDIER the best of the best, and a General in the army. He is known as a war hero across the world and is extremely respected, though Sephirorth is somewhat of an elitist. Intime he would learn of the twisted experiments surrounding his origin, he loses his sanity and disappears at Nibelheim.
Cloud is part of the Shinra Military, He was actually unable to make it into SOLDIER, but intime became close friends with Zack, Cloud looked up to Zack and Sephiroth and wished to be like them as their power intrigued him so much. Cloud was with both Zack and Sephiroth at the fated incident at Nibelheim.
