DUBAI - A Saudi inmate is reported to have a mobile phone inside his body.

However, no information is available as to whether he had swallowed it.

Doctors in the Saudi city of Madinah had to perform a surgery on the inmate who had problems taking the phone out of his body.

�An inmate has been implicated in getting a mobile phone inside his body, but was unable to take it out,� Gulfnews.com quoted a spokesman for a prison in Madinah as saying.

�Doctors at the King Fahad Hospital had to perform an urgent surgery to save him,� the spokesman told Saudi daily Okaz. (ANI)
