Please help me!!! About my d40!!!
 

good day and obviously im new in photography.</p>
<p>i am a fan and i wanna try it out myself.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>i have a d40 and using a kit lens of 18-55mm lens.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>now my problem is this:</p>
<p>I am trying a portrait photography using my white painted wall and a flourescent white spot lamp... i am using the manual mode but it doesnt seem to adjust to the light.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>is the light poor or is the light too white???</p>
<p>i have tried setting up the ISO, apperture, shutterspeed, exp compensation and flash but the clicker wont allow me to click the shutter.</p>
<p>i just press it and nothing happens, only the screen goes off.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>can you guess what the problem is???</p>
