Aksi Anti Korupsi India Merambah Dunia Maya

Kampanye anti korupsi Anna Hazare juga didengungkan di dunia maya. Berbagai situs sosial media dijadikan tempat menyampaikan aspirasi dan informasi seputar aksi mogok makan yang dilakukan Hazare bersama puluhan pengikutnya.

Dilansir dari laman Times of India, gerakan anti korupsi menggunakan sarana Facebook dan Twitter dalam menyampaikan agendanya. Selain itu, informasi dan agenda juga disampaikan melalui laman Indiaagainstcorruption.org.

Pada akun Facebook yang diikuti oleh puluhan ribu orang tersebut, para pendukung Hazare menyampaikan komentar-komentar mereka seputar aksi mogok makan. Kampanye di Facebook juga menyerukan para pendukungnya untuk menyampaikan pesan anti korupsi beserta agenda aksi kepada sepuluh teman mereka melalu SMS berantai.

Dukungan terbanyak diterima ketika Hazare ditahan polisi pada 16 Agustus lalu. Selang beberapa jam setelah penangkapan, hash tag #isupportannahazare menjadi topik trend di twitter di India. Beberapa pendukung aksi bahkan mengganti foto akun mereka menjadi foto Hazare. "Kami akan mogok makan sampai kau dibebaskan. Seluruh pemuda India bersama dengan kamu. Siapa bilang Mahatma Gandhi telah meninggal. Dia masih hidup dan dunia mendukung dia," komentar seorang bernama Jashan Joshi dalam akun tersebut.

Hazare juga sempat menggunakan layanan Youtube untuk menyampaikan pesannya. Sesaat setelah penangkapannya, Hazare mengimbau melalui Youtube agar para pendukungnya tidak terpancing dengan para penentang aksi mereka. Dia juga mengatakan bahwa aksi yang digagasnya adalah aksi damai, tanpa menggunakan kekerasan.

"Saudara setanah air, perjuangan demi kebebasan kedua telah dimulai. Saya ditahan. Apakah perjuangan ini akan berhenti? Tentu tidak. Jangan biarkan itu terjadi," kata Hazare di Youtube.
