Well, I got my first "job" today! The Domestic Associate informed me that she was making Thanksgiving cupcakes (yes, early I know..... but she was testing them out before the big day), and wanted a step-by-step series of photos to showcase on her blog.
The photos were strange for me, since I have never, ever, ever done anything that required any kind of lighting. I'm new enough to the process to have relied on ambient light and pop-up flash until today. Needless to say, I don't have thousands of dollars worth of studio lighting hanging around, nor do I have a studio. My lighting scheme consisted of two desk lamps with 75 watt bulbs, and a piece of white card stock on the kitchen table. She handed me the cupcakes as she wanted photographed, and I took the best pictures I could.
Do keep in mind that I'm no professional photographer, and she is not a professional pastry chef....... but we had fun, and my payment was delicious. Let me know what you think, and please feel free to offer any suggestions to imporve using the limited knowledge and resources I have. I'm not posting all the pics here, but if you would like to see them in the blog, click here. Be the Butterfly: Cross one off the list
