Arpan Sharma, mempunyai bakat luar biasa dalam kemampuan berbahasanya bahkan dinyatakan jenius. Bagaimana tidak, anak yang baru berusia 10 tahun itu bisa menguasai 11 bahasa dari berbagai negara.


"Arpan adalah anak yang jenius dalam penguasaan berbagai bahasa negara"


Bahasa yang dikuasainya adalah Inggris, Perancis, Spanyol, Jerman, Italia, Swahili [Afrika], Mandarin, polish, Thai, Luganda [bahasa Uganda], dan bahasa negara asalnya India yaitu Hindi.

Siswa sekolah dasar dari Oldbury, West Midlands, Inggris ini belajar menggunakan CD-roms. Seperti dikutip Mirror, Arpan fasih dalam bahasa Italia sejak usia 7 tahun, Jerman 8 tahun, dan Spanyol 9 tahun.

Bagaimanapun dia mengakui mengalami kesulitan dalam mempelajari bahasa-bahasa tersebut. "Belajar bahasa Swahili dan Mandarin adalah tantangan dan kesulitan terbesarku." katanya menjelaskan.

"Arpan adalah anak yang jenius dalam penguasaan berbagai bahasa negara, dia mempunyai pendengaran yang baik, pengucapan yang tepat dan pengulangan yang sempurna." kata Richard Lynn, wakil kepala sekolah Blue Coat School, Edgbaston, Birmingham, Inggris.

Arpan mempunyai cita-cita ingin bekerja sebagai dokter bedah dirumah sakit luar negeri.[ANV/Tlgf/jul].
