Jakarta - Ratusan massa dari berbagai elemen organisasi Islam di Medan, Sumatera Utara (Sumut), menggelar aksi demonstrasi mengecam Israel di Gedung DPRD Sumut. Dalam aksinya, massa menginjak-injak dan meludahi bendera Israel.

Demonstrasi ini digelar berbagai elemen organisasi Islam yang tergabung dalam Masyarakat Solidaritas Palestina (MSP) Sumut. Mereka menjalankan aksinya di Jl. Imam Bonjol, Medan, Jumat (4/6/2010) sore, tepat di pintu masuk menuju pintu gerbang utama gedung DPRD Sumut. Mereka membentangkan bendera Israel ukuran 12 X 8 meter di tengah jalan untuk dilindas kendaraan yang melintas.

Koorditor Aksi, Indra Suheri mengatakan, aksi injak dan meludahi bendera Israel tersebut sebagai bentuk kebencian terhadap negara yang telah merampar tanah Palestina itu.

"Israel tidak memiliki wilayah negara. Pendudukan wilayah selama ini adalah tanah Palestina. Karena itu, negara yang tidak punya wilayah maka tidak layak lambangnya untuk diakui," kata Indra.

Sebelum menggelar aksi di halaman gedung DPRD Sumut, massa MSP Sumut, menggelar aksi long march dari halaman Mesjid Agung, Jl. Diponegoro, Medan.
