Default Zaman Romantik
Zaman Romantik dalam sejarah musik Barat berlangsung dari sekitar awal 1800-an sampai dengan dekade pertama abad ke-20. Zaman ini berlangsung sesudah Zaman Klasik dan sebelum Zaman Modern.
Musik Zaman Romantik dikaitkan dengan Gerakan Romantik pada sastra, seni, dan filsafat, walaupun pembatasan zaman yang digunakan dalam musikologi sekarang sangat berbeda dari pembatasan zaman ini dalam seni yang lain (yaitu 1780-an sampai dengan 1840-an).
Beberapa komponis dari zaman ini adalah Franz Schubert, Johann Strauss, Sr., Felix Mendelssohn, Fr�d�ric Chopin, Robert Schumann, Richard Wagner, Giuseppe Verdi, Hector Berlioz, dan Johannes Brahms.
