Susi menyampaikan hasrat hatinya kepada ayahnya untuk menikah dengan Robert,jejaka pilihannya yang juga adalah tetangga dan teman sepermainannya sejak kecil.
�Ayah, Robert melamarku.Kami mau menikah.�
�Apa??Tidak Boleh! Kau boleh menikah dengan siapa saja kecuali dengan Robert.
�Tapi � mengapa ?�
Dengan separuh berbisik, si ayah berkata,
�Karena Robert sebenarnya adalah kakakmu.Tapi,jangan beritahu ibumu,ya !�
Terkejut dengan jawaban itu, Susi pergi kepada ibunya.
�Ibu, ayah melarang saya menikah dengan Robert � �
�Tak usah dengar kata ayahmu.Kamu boleh menikah dengan siapa saja yang kamu sukai, termasuk Robert.�
�Tapi kata ayah, Robert itu sebenarnya kakakku.Kakak-beradik kan tak boleh menikah ?!�
Ibunya terdiam sejenak lalu menjawab, �Hmmm � , Tapi Ayah kamu pun tak tahu kamu bukan anaknya !�
