Welding Engineer (Aerospace - Based in Batam)
Job Functions:
- Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
- Provide leadership for NACAP audits.
- Develop and qualified welding PQR and weld schedule for all Part Number.
- Perform analysis effort and troubleshooting for any welding Issues arise.
- Provide direction for welding tooling creation and Improvement.
- Provide training to build production capability and perform welder qualification.
- Create and maintain welding related documents such as: MAD, Work Instruction etc.
- Support product transfer activities on any welding aspects.
- Perform welding machine qualification and re-qualification if necessary.
- Develop sufficient welding technique and method for continuous improvement.
- Improve manufacturing process performance and support product line.
- Diagnose customer complaint and customer return goods.
Requirements:
- NITEC / Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent.
- At least 4-5 years of relevant Welding Experience in Aerospace in mandatory.
- Knowledge of manufacturing process control (ISO).
- Experience in mechanical component manufacturing with aerospace welding.
- Knowledge and experience with GTAW process (1 � 100 amps).
- Practical experience welding stainless steel using manual GTAW process.
- Experience with weld quality verification techniques and standards.
- Knowledge of welding effects on materials and ability to identify and correct common problems (Voids, Inclusions, excess HAZ).
- Practical experience welding Nickel Super alloys using manual/semi-automated GTAW process.
- Knowledge and practical experience with Orbital Welding or Stainless Steel.
- Only Singaporean or Singapore PR is applicable. (No Foreigners)
- Willing to work in Batam (Can come back to Singapore twice a week on weekends and 1 weekday)
