TOKYO, KOMPAS.com - Setelah menghentikan produksi 2009 lalu, sepertinya Honda Motor Company (HMC) berupaya membangkitkan kembali NSX ke pasar. Ikhwal ini terlihat dari kemunculan HSV-010 GT yang digunakan sebagai pengganti NSX di ajang balap mobil GT 500 Race Series.

 Sebenarnya, sosok HSV-010 GT sudah muncul sejak akhir 2009 namun tak ada kelanjutan beritanya. Nah, kehadiran di trek balap mencuatkan kembali isyu produksi massal NSX. Menurut Japenese Nostalgic Car, seperti dilansir autoevolution (5/2), Presiden Honda Takashi Ito mengatakan perusahaan mempersiapkan proyek supercar baru.

 Memang belum ada konfirmasi resmi dari HMC, tapi soal mesin calon pengganti NSX kelak, yakni 3,4L V8 sudah diperlihatkan pada HSV-010 GT. Jantung pacu ini disebut-sebut sebagai pembunuh Nissan GT-R dan Lexus LFA (andalan Grup Toyota).

 Kalau proyek ini benar-benar berjalan, Honda berupaya menunjukkan upayanya kembali ke segmen supercar. Hal ini penting dilakukan perusahaan guna mengembalikan citra sport setelah mundur dari ajang F1, akhir Desember 2008.
