Di ajang "Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2011" yang berlangsung, 22-30 Juli 2011 di JIExPO, Kemayoran, Jakarta Pusat, ada lomba drifting (27-30/7) memperebutkan hadiah satu unit sepeda motor, dua set velg Rota Wheels, uang tunai dan piala. Para drifter nasional seperti A. Amandiao, N. Hermawan, Dean Zen, Rio Saputro, dan drifter wanita Alinka Hardianti dipastikan ikut serta.

Para peserta akan berkompetisi di lintasan seluas 125x80 meter yang dilayout oleh RC Drift War dari organisasi resmi Indonesian Drift Community. Dalam lomba ini, penilaian dilakukan meliputi aspek kecepatan, jalur, sudut dan keindahan. Adapun jadwal perlombaan, 27-28 Juli 2011 untuk Drift Camp dan latihan bebas, serta 29-30 Juli untuk kualifikasi dan final.

General Manager Marketing PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk Arijanto mengatakan, "Kami ingin ajang tahunan ini bisa menjadi wadah para drifter di Indonesia untuk menunjukkan kemampuannya. Mudah-mudahan, ke depannya drift sudah ada event resminya dari IMI."
