Ditemukan, Ular Raksasa dengan Jambul Ayam

Seekor ular raksasa yang dikepalanya memiliki jambul seperti layaknya ayam jantan ditemukan di Fushin City, provinsi Liaoning, China.

Ular ini ditemukan pertamakali pada bulan lalu oleh warga setempat. Ketika itu, pekerja sedang melakukan ekskavasi di dekat sebuah situs konstruksi.


Ular raksasa yang ditemukan itu memiliki panjang 16,7 meter dan berat sekitar 300 kilogram. Kulit seluruh tubuh ular itu bersinar keemasan, dan uniknya, di bagian kepala ular terdapat jambul ayam. Diyakini, spesies ular dengan jambul ini sangatlah langka.


Ketika ditemukan, dikutip dari Asian Town, 6 Juli 2011, ular tersebut dalam kondisi terluka. Ia kemudian diberi pertolongan darurat dan diproteksi oleh petugas dari Wild Chiayi Shenyang. Sayangnya, ular itu mati di perjalanan dari Shenyang ke Beijing.


Pihak departemen terkait China segera menyelidiki bangkai ular raksasa yang sangat langka itu. Para pakar kehidupan liar sendiri memperkirakan, usia ular ini mencapai sekitar 140 tahun, dan ia biasanya tinggal di gua.
