This was a happy accident of sorts. I went to a location to shoot a sunrise and when I got out of the car, a deer walked up over the rise in the field. I had a 28-75mm lens mounted, and the deer was quite a distance off. I realized that by the time I did a lens change, the deer might be gone, so I took a shot or two of the deer at 75mmm and then proceeded to change my lens. Sure enough the deer was gone by the time I came back up with the long lens.
So I took one of the shots I got, cropped 200 per cent or so, removed some noise - or more precisely the color associated with the noise, then desaturated the photo somewhat. This is the result. I kind of like it. It has the feel of an illustration but was not put through an illustration filter.
Let me know what you think.
