Wharfedale Diamond 75 Anniversary edition
Wharfedale is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year with a limited edition version of its popular standmount loudspeaker, the Diamond 9.1
The diamond series was also made famous by the Wharfedale representative at the time sporting a pair of boxer shorts at the launch embroidered with the words ' there is only one thing harder than a diamond' (no - not giving any names away)
The special edition two-way anniversary model features a real walnut veneer, finished in the same 'wax-oil' *as used on the company's �14,000 flagship speaker, the Airedale Heritage. It also benefits from a magnetic, flush-fitting 'Heritage' grille, a design also seen on the flagship model. The fine detailing extends to the champagne finish alloy trim and the "truly superlative build", according to Wharfedale.
The loudspeaker is a Wharfedale Diamond 9.1 loudspeaker � winner of more internationally-recognised awards than any other loudspeaker in its category -
The speaker is based around a 25mm tweeter and a 125mm (5-inch) bass/mid driver with rated sensitivity of 86dB. Only 2,000 pairs will be made for global consumers and each set is individually numbered and supplied with a certificate of authenticity.
The anniversary model has a high-quality, wax-oiled, real walnut veneer finish, with champagne trim and magnetic front grille with vintage grille-cloth. The quality and finish is nothing short of breathtaking and stands as an example of Wharfedale's manufacturing ability and attention to detail. Each pair of Diamond 9.1 Anniversary Speakers is numbered and supplied with an authentication certificate
