Raptor Corpse was formed on 26 February 2004 on the initiative of the Li-One and Bud who had just come out of their band, which had genre Thrash metal. Desiring to create something new, different and also try to release the image Sepultura, who have clung to their musical style (Bud and Al), recruiting Ferry Gore, who at that time was a vocalist of Brutal Death in Bukittinggi.

Raptor Corpse philosophy of use of the name was inspired from ancient animals named Raptor. With a small body size, it was a very cruel beasts and agile. That's what inspired us to use the name Raptor Corpse. After 5 months of playing with four people personnel, in July 2004, Pandi fill the position of percussion. Pandi merger with Raptor Corpse brought major changes to the Raptor Corpse, because then the Raptor Corpse idea at the time it becomes a masked band. After a few times to Guest Star on Band Festival held in Bukittinggi, Anggive (Sampling Guitar) joined with Raptor Raptor Corpse Corpse to add sound which at the time it was offered to play outside the city (Padang). The entry of Seven Kick (QQ) as Keyboardist and Indri as the female voice with Raptor Corpse brings its own style for the Raptor Corpse. Seven Kick keyboard rhythms, and Angelic voice of Indri, adding nuance and Gothic Black metal music on the genre of Raptor Corpse.

Raptor Corpse musical style is heavily influenced by bands such as: Sepultura, Slayer, Pantera, dan Kreator, Sinister, Dismember, Dissection, Deicide, Cannibal Corpse dan Vital Remains, Black Metal : Dimmu Borgir dan Cradle Of Filth.At the end of 2010, Raptor Corpse has doing a massive revolution in their formation. This is evidenced by the release of their album entitled "We Are Raptor Corpse". On this album, the spirit of syncretism, which is inspired by the spirit of Ancestors, flow so swift. Raptor Corpse not only incorporates elements of metal, but also from other musical genres such as jazz, blues, techno and others. And they call this genre: METAL DEADCORPSE
