Socotra sebuah kepulauan kecil, terpencil, dan terasing dari empat pulau di Samudra Hindia, terletak sekitar 240 kilometer (150 mil) timur ujung Afrika, 380 kilometer (240 mil) selatan Semenanjung Arab, dan merupakan bagian dari Republik Yaman.

Socotra secara luas dianggap tempat yang paling bio-diverse di Laut Arab, dengan beberapa tanaman hidup yang paling tidak biasa ditemukan di dunia, yang sebagian besar sangat unik untuk Socotra karena iklimnya yang memiliki suhu tahunan rata-rata di atas 18�C, juga curah hujan tahunan sangat ringan.

Namun biarpun begitu, keindahan tetap tercipta, karena memiliki tanaman yang indah, unik, dan aneh, terutama terumbu karangnya sangat spektakuler untuk Socotra, sebagai pulau terkecil dan terpencil.

Sekilas kita akan menganggap pulau ini seperti pulau biasa, tetapi jika kalian berada di pulau itu, percayalah, kalian akan merasa seperti berada di planet lain. Pulau yang berpenduduk sekitar 42ribu lebih ini memiliki keunikan tersendiri di banding pulau-pulau lainnya yang akan saya bahas nanti.

wah..banyak spot2 wisata yang menarik yaa disana..mantap juga nih buat liburan..
ada penduduk nya ga ndan..?atau ada sarana & prasarana pendukung buat wisatawan juga ataua semacamnya ngga.? mana tau pulau tak berpenghuni...
