Setelah sempat tertunda tiga bulan karena bencana alam pada Maret 2011, Honda Motor Company resmi meluncurkan Fit Shuttle atau Jazz Wagon di Jepang, hari ini. Reuters melaporkan, pesaing Toyota Prius Alpha tersebut sudah mendapatkan 7.000 pesanan dari pelanggan Honda.

Honda menawarkan Jazz panjang ini dalam dua pilihan. Versi pertama, Fit Shuttle 15X (FWD) yang dibekali mesin 1.5-liter i-VTEC dengan konsumsi bahan bakar 20 km per liter dan dibanderol 1,61 juta yen (Rp 162,3 juta). Versi kedua, Fit Shuttle Hybrid bermesin 1.3 liter i-VTEC plus IMA (Integrated Motor Assist) dengan konsumsi bensin 30 km per liter dan dijual 1,81 juta yen (Rp 182,4 juta) per unit.

Produsen mobil terbesar ketiga di Jepang ini sudah berhasil mencapai target, yaitu 4.000 unit per bulan. Varian yang paling laku adalah hibrida dengan komposisi 90 persen. Hal tersebut bisa dimaklumi mengingat konsumen cenderung memilih mobil yang irit karena harga minyak yang makin mahal.

Dalam keterangan resminya, Honda mengatakan bahwa Fit Shuttle tetap dengan format 5-penumpang, tetapi dengan ruang bagasi lebih lega dan juga makin nyaman!
