HOMESTEAD, KOMPAS.com - Dua orang tetangga yang bertemu di halaman belakang rumah mereka akhirnya menyadari bahwa mereka adalah saudara tiri. Agustus 2009, Roger Sablone sedang memotong rumput di belakang rumahnya ketika tutup mesin pemotong rumputnya terlempar ke halaman belakang tetangga. Dia lalu berbincang dengan tetangganya, Peter Bonzagni.


Bincang-bincang itu akhirnya bermuara pada kesimpulan bahwa mereka sama-sama anak adopsi. Bonzagni (55) dibesarkan di Wakefield. Dia lalu ditawari bertemu dengan orangtua kandungnya. Bonzagni menemukan kenyataan bahwa dirinya terlahir karena hubungan singkat antara ibunya dan lelaki bernama Roger Sablone Senior.


Bonzagni selalu mengingat nama itu. Bonzagni kemudian pindah ke Homestead. Hingga pada suatu hari dia mengembalikan tutup mesin pemotong rumput tetangganya yang ternyata adik tirinya. Roger Sablone Senior yang kini berusia 81 tahun tidak pernah tahu punya anak dari ibu Bonzagni. Kedua anak itu kemudian terhubung kembali dengan ayahnya. Mengharukan....
