Pengguna internet harian di Indonesia, menurut Guthrie, sebanyak 71 persen menghabiskan waktunya selama rata-rata 35 jam dalam sepekan untuk mengakses internet.
Kemudian, penggunaan smartphone juga semakin populer, terutama di kalangan anak muda dan berpendidikan. "Itu benar-benar luar biasa," ujar dia pada ajang IDBYTE 2011 di Jakarta.

Andy Zain, Chief Executive Officer Numedia Global, pemilik aplikasi MIG33 menjelaskan hal serupa. Potensi bisnis online dan telepon seluler masih sangat terbuka.
Dia menyebut Indonesia adalah pengguna Opera Mini terbesar di dunia dan ini menunjukkan pengguna internet melalui telepon seluler lebih banyak.

"Indonesia is not a trend follower, we are trend creator," ungkap Andy.

Potensi yang sangat terbuka itu, lanjut Andy, tidak hanya pada segmen bisnis online, tetapi juga penyedia perangkat telepon seluler, konten seluler, perbankan, dan potensi lainnya yang benar-benar belum tergarap maksimal.

"Pasar periklanan dunia maya di Indonesia mencapai Rp60 triliun pada 2010, dengan pertumbuhan 20 persen per tahun," kata Andy.

Selain itu, Andy menjelaskan, potensi pasar teknologi informasi dan komunikasi di Indonesia mencapai Rp220 triliun pada 2010 dan diprediksi mencapai Rp440 triliun tahun ini. "Tantangannya adalah bagaimana membuat produk yang sesuai dengan keinginan masyarakat yang berbeda-beda di tiap daerah," pungkasnya.

cuman sayangnya banyak provider Indonesia yang jual produk (modem, hp, bb, dll)
jadi jasa pelayanannya masih kurang,,,
