Sistem Penerangan Jalan Otomatis Ala ITB

Peneliti dari Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) menciptakan sistem lampu jalan yang bisa mati secara otomatis setelah jalanan tidak dilalui mobil. Dengan sistem lampu ini, cukup banyak cadangan listrik yang dapat dihemat.

Saat uji coba, tim peneliti yang terdiri dari Suprijadi, Thomas Muliawan, dan Sparisoma Viridi menggunakan sebuah kamera video, komputer, dan mobil mainan. Sistem dapat mendeteksi pergerakan mobil di kecepatan 3,2 kilometer per jam dengan akurasi 91 persen. Namun, saat kecepatan ditingkatkan, akurasi sistem itu pun berkurang.


Para peneliti tengah mengembangkan teknologi terbaru untuk menyempurnakan sensitivitas sistem lampu otomatis ini.



Selain itu, mereka akan mengembangkan sistem lampu yang akan bereaksi terhadap pejalan kaki dan pesepeda, serta mampu bekerja dalam berbagai kondisi cuaca.


Tech Review menyebutkan bahwa teknologi ini merupakan langkah maju untuk sistem penerangan yang lebih efisien. "Sistem seperti ini dapat mengurangi konsumsi energi di kota besar di seluruh dunia, seperti Jakarta yang memiliki 200.000 lampu jalan dan menelan biaya tak kurang dari 140 miliar rupiah untuk beroperasi sepanjang tahun 2007," demikian tertera dalam laporan penelitian.

Walaupun masih dalam purwarupa (prototipe), peneliti akan terus mencari cara untuk merealisasikan sistem lampu yang hemat energi ini.

lampunya sih sama aja, lampu jalan juga, kalo ga salah lampu halogen.
cuma dari yg biasanya pake timer aja, ditambahin motion sensor, jadi kalo malem2 ngga ada yg mo lewat ya ngapain juga dinyalain terus lampunya.
sama kaya toilet, kalo ngga ada orang didalem ya ngapain lampunya nyala terus kan.
