in 2005 I was working for a "telemarketing" firm somewhere on the east coast. morale was so bad at the company, management went to great lengths to keep people that actually worked hard. one of the ways they did this was a short lived but highly entertaining award for "Employee of the Month". Said employee was treated to answering calls from a "special" desk with a 42" monitor.



Here is the first and last employee of the month winner. The next months winner could not go more than two days with the XL monitor stating his "retinas were getting burned out by the heat from the screen".



I have been holding on to this picture for a while...I think its safe to release into the wild.

Di tahun 2005 saya pernah bekerja di sebuah firma telemarketing di East coast ( USA). Suasana moral kerja sangat buruk di perusahaan tsb, lalu pihak manajemen mencari solusi untuk mempertahankan pegawai yg telah bekerja keras. Salah satu cara yang mereka lakukan adalah memberikan penghargaan yang berumur pendek tapi sangat menghibur untuk "Employee of the Month", yaitu pegawai mendapatkan kemudahan untuk menjawab telepon dari meja spesial dengan monitor 42".



Berikut adalah pegawai pemenang yang pertama & terakhir. Pemenang pada bulan berikutnya tidak bisa bertahan lebih dari 2 hari menggunakan monitor berukuran XL dengan menyatakan retinanya "terbakar karena panasnya layar"



Saya telah menyimpan gambar ini utk beberapa lama, saya pikir sekarang telah aman untuk melepasnya ke "alam liar".
