Seorang hakim di pengadilan membacakan hasil keputusan sidang terhadap kasus kriminal yang dilakukan oleh seorang tersangka yang usianya sudah separuh baya.

Hakim : "Pengadilan memutuskan bahwa tersangka berhak mendapatkan hukuman selama dua puluh tahun penjara."
Tersangka : "Tapi Pak Hakim, Saya sudah tua. Saya tidak dapat menjamin bahwa saya masih bisa hidup selama itu."
Hakim : "Tidak usah gelisah, kalau Anda mati ketika menjalani masa hukuman, maka kami akan memaafkan Anda."
