Saat ini sistem operasi (OS) Android Google memang sedang naik daun dan banyak perangkat menggunakan OS ini. Apa jadinya jika OS ini dipakai pada jam tangan?

Sebuah jam tangan layar sentuh seberat 70gram dengan OS Android ini menawarkan lebih dari sekadar media untuk menelepon. Jam tangan berlayar LCD 1,5 inci ini bahkan memiliki �toko aplikasi� sendiri. Namun seperti dikutip DM, jam tangan Android ini belum memiliki aplikasi.

Perangkat ini memiliki chip memory 4GB dan hal ini memberi Anda cukup ruang untuk menyimpan aplikasi yang ada. Jam tangan ini sendiri dirilis dengan dua versi, yakni versi bertahtahkan permata seharga GBP10.286 (Rp94,3 juta) dan versi biasa seharga GBP234 (Rp2,15 juta).

Layar kecil jam tangan ini memberikannya keuntungan tersendiri, karenanya perangkat ini mampu bertahan dua hari untuk sekali isi ulang baterai.

Direktur i�mWatch Manuel Zanella dan Massimiliano Bertolini mengaku telah mendapat pesanan lima ribu jam yang bisa digunakan untuk telepon, sms dan jejaring sosial ini.

Jam tangan ini akan dipasarkan secara umum pada 2012.
