specs on this computer...?

looking for a new desktop for editing and my wifes school work. only plan to run editing programs and microsoft office as far as software is concerned.

 

how does this look? i was going to build my own but its not feasible right now

 

i dont know much about computers. i do plan to pick up 2 500gb external hard drives to store my stuff on so the computer wont be clogged with tons of photos.

 

i also did a little research and learned the phenom II has cache and it better for multitasking or stuff like i would be doing as oppossed to the Athlons. I'd like to stick with an AMD processor as they are more in my price range oppossed to the I's.

 

input welcome. would like to stay close to this price without monitor. also monitor suggestions welcome in the $250 range
