JAKARTA - Orang nomor satu Negeri Paman Sam Barack Obama melakukan kunjungan 17 jam di Indonesia. Dalam kunjungannya Obama menyampaikan kuliah umum di Universita Indonesia (UI), Depok, Jawa Barat.

Pengamat politik Rocky Gerung berpendapat bahwa pidato Obama tersebut sudah mampu menyihir bangsa Indonesia.

“Seorang tokoh yang transit di Jakarta kurang dari 24 jam, jajan bakso, dan sate. Dan berceramah selama 30 menit bisa menyebabkan seluruh bangsa tersihir. Saya kira ada sesuatu yang lepas dalam diri kita. Kita perlu sihir dari luar yang diucapkan seorang pesinggah,” ucap dosen filsafat UI ini di Graha Bhakti Budaya, Taman Ismail Marzuki, Menteng, Jakarta Pusat, Rabu (10/11/2010).

Menurut Rocky, bangsa Indonesia tak seharusnya terbawa dengan retorika pembicaraan Obama yang menyinggu soal toleransi. Parahnya, menurut dia, justru masyarakat seolah menikmati retorika tersebut.

“Mental politik kita sebagai mental lipsing, mental dubbing dan kita nikmati keadaan ini. Sindiran Obama terhadap bangsa ini bisa berubah tentang teroransi,” ujarnya.

Seperti diketahui dalam pidatonya, Obama mengatakan bahwa sangat mengagumi toleransi beragama di Indonesia yang terbungkus dalam Bhineka Tunggal Ika.

Sementara dalam perkembangannya negara Indonesia tengah dihadapkan dengan permasalahan keanekaragaman keyakinan, sebut saja konflik Poso, dan kasus HKBP.
