Iblis berkata, "Ya Tuhan, hamba minta pensiun dini saja."
Tuhan balas bertanya, "Kenapa kamu minta pensiun? Bukankah kamu yang minta untuk selalu menggoda manusia?"
Jawab Iblis, "Hamba minta ampun ya Tuhan. Amit-amit sekarang kelakuan manusia sudah melebihi hamba. Hamba kawatir, justru hamba yang nanti bisa tergoda oleh manusia. Makanya hamba minta pensiun dini saja. Manusia berzina, yang enak dia, yang disalahkan hamba. Manusia korupsi, yang menikmati dia, dibilang hamba yang menggoda. Hamba lagi yang disalahkan."
