Amber kehilangan kakinya pada tahun 2004 karena osteosarkoma, tumor tulang. Dia telah melakukan dua program kemoterapi dan telah berhasil untuk tetap memiliki pandangan positif pada dirinya dan benar-benar menggunakan "cacat"-nya untuk kehidupan dirinya.
Amber menikmati hidupnya, pergi ke pesta dan mempunyai gaya hidup yang aktif. Lihatlah dia tidak berhenti mengeluh tentang hidupnya.

Tidak memikirkan kekurangan yang dia milik. tapi menonjolkan apa yg dia miliki... mantap dengan percaya dirinya. tp mungkin gak sesuai dengan norma yang ada di negara kita yah...
