for Anglepoise - A Design Icon:
The Anglepoise lamp was designed in 1933 by the British designer George Carwardine (pictured above). Carwardine was a motor car designer who applied his engineering skill to build a lamp which mimicked the joints of the human arm. The joints and spring tension allow the lamp to be placed in a wide range of positions and remain stationary without the need for clamping. In 2004 Kenneth Grange designed the Type 75 Anglepoise for Anglepoise Ltd which is a 21st century update on the original concept. A British design classic that has stood the test of the time and has redefined how versatile a table lamp can be, no matter what its intended use.

This is a Tolomeo inspired desk lamp designed in 1983 by Michele de Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina. Its clean aesthetic and smooth articulation design complements both contemporary and traditional interiors. Its cantilevered arms are made from polished aluminium whilst the shade is silver anodised aluminium. Its adjustable head allows the light to be positioned exactly where you want it.
